Science at Work

Something cool just happened. I grabbed a bottle of tea from our fridge in the garage. It’s been super cold here so I checked to make sure it wasn’t frozen. It wasn’t. It was all liquid. The second I opened it, part of it froze. I saw it freeze. It must have been super cold, but when under pressure the freezing temperature was lower. The second I relieve the pressure it was below it freezing point so it froze. It was cool. I love science.

I guess that’s one thing to make the cold weather we’ve been having cool. But I’d rather have warmer temps.

I think I’ve experienced that before when I left a bottle of pop in the freezer too long. I put it up there to cool it down and then forgot about it. It is cool though to see something liquid freeze before your eyes.

I’m a science geek too. That’s why I have a degree in meteorology. Too bad I’m not using that degree.
