Vi Hart’s paper snowflakes
I watch a ton of geeky science and math videos on YouTube. Vi Hart is one of the best. I love the way she explains math with doodles. On her latest episode she made paper snowflakes. As a kid, I wish I would have been that creative, or even shown, the different ways to make paper snowflakes. Math is awesome.

Look at this Instagram
Ok, I forgive Nickelback for all their crappy radio songs, because without them, we wouldn’t have this hilarious parody.

My favorite old school rap covers
So yesterday Jason Weisberger of Boingboing posted the Dynamite Hack cover of Easy-E’s “Boyz in the Hood”. It’s not new—in fact it’s rather old—but it’s a kick ass version, and I kind of forgot about it. Here it is if you have no idea what I’m talking about.
So then I thought I would share some of my favorite old school rap covers.
The Gourds had a great version of Snoop Dog’s “Gin and Juice”.
Nina Gordon from Veruca Salt covered NWA’s “Straight Outta Compton”.
And no old school rap cover list would be complete without Ben Folds’s cover of Dr. Dre’s “Bitches Ain’t Shit”. There are probably better version out there, but I was at this one. I was right up front, so one of those heads could be mine.

Take a Guided Tour of the International Space Station
Before Suni Williams left the International Space Station this past weekend, she recorded a little tour. It’s a long video, but well worth it. It would be pretty sweet to be able to spend some time on the International Space Station.

I.Think.We.Are.Alone.Now. — documentary about two men obsessed with pop singer Tiffany
I’m a sucker for documentaries. I’ll pretty much watch a documentary about anything. Today I ran across this one on Boingboing, about two guys obsessed with ’80’s pop star Tiffany. It’s pretty sad the mental problems these guys are living with, but it was a good documentary nonetheless.

Fatty Boom Boom
Die Antwoord’s music isn’t my cup of tea, but they make interesting videos. This is their latest one, that I’ve been meaning to blog about it for quite some time.

New Amanda Palmer video is out
Today Amanda Palmer released another video for her album Theatre Is Evil, which gained her popularity for her raising over a million dollars on Kickstarter for the making of the album. The song is titled “Do It With A Rockstar”, and the video is a little NSFW.

Punchline’s Weezer Tribute
Punchline is one of the most underrated bands in my book. They are amazing, and yesterday they posted a video of them performing all Weezer songs. It’s pretty much the best thing I’ve seen in a long time.via stevepunchline on Youtube
