This Wild Life – “History”
I am really liking what little I have heard from This Wild Life so far. They remind me a lot of Dashboard Confessional. Their debut album will be out on Epitaph Records on May 27th. I’m really looking forward to it.

Last night’s astrophotography pictures
So last night was finally a clear night that wasn’t super cold and I was able to spend a good hour outside with my telescope. Here are the images I took.
The Moon is always the easiest. Hopefully next week I can get some eclipse shots!

I got a pretty good shot of Jupiter last night. It’s my best one to date. If you’re curious, the moon that you can see if you look closely is Io.

Since Mars is getting closer—it will be at it’s closest point on Monday the 14th—I thought I would try to image it. Mars is hard to image because it’s so small. I need to get better Mars pictures, but I’m posting thing one anyway, because it’s frickin’ Mars!

Truth in religion
Religion has always interested me to a point, but anytime I read anything about any religion, it bores me to hell. I’ve tried reading the Bible, but to me it’s pretty much unreadable. Why people call it “The Good Book”, boggles my mind. It’s anything but.
What really interests me about religions is if any of it is based on actual truths? Did any of these people really exists? Most of the stories in the Bible are obvious made up myths, but is there any truth? I haven’t ran across any good books about the historic accuracy of any religious text yet, but I haven’t really looked either. Are they all bunk or just too old to really know? I don’t know.
One thing I’ve always heard is that atheists know more about Christianity than most Christians do. I pretty sure I don’t, but I was surprised at my result of this quiz. I know it doesn’t mean much, but I got 14 or of 15. Not to bad for someone who knows very little about religions.
