Astronaut and Barenaked Ladies sing together
This is so cool. It’s Astronaut Chris Hadfield singing and playing with members of the Barenaked ladies. It’s a great song too.

Overly-Honest Product Stickers
When I hear someone say they are eating healthy because they are eating “organic” I just cringe. Just because something is labeled “organic” doesn’t make it more healthy. It pretty much means you just paid more for it. Technically almost all foods are organic. Anything containing carbon is organic. The food industry has hijacked the word to give the impression that a product is better, safer or healthier, when none of those are true.
The other labels I can’t stand are “Chemical-free”? What the hell is it then? And “Natural”? Isn’t everything Natural? Where the hell do you find “un-natural” food?
Steve D over at madartlab.com made up some great overly-honest product labels. I love them.
He also added a homeopathic one in the comment section.
I love them. You can go to madartlab.com to get the higher quality versions.

TED Talk: Nick Hanauer “Rich people don’t create jobs”
The notion that the rich are the job creators has always bugged me. Sure rich people hire a lot of people, but there has to be a demand for them to want to spend the money on new employees, and that demand is created by the middle class. So the economy actually trickles up, not down, or am I missing something?

These pictures were posted to the Fuck Yeah Motion City tumblr. I think I can see my head right up there in the front. I’m on the right side in front of Matthew Taylor, the bass player.
