35W Bridge
I am sure by now you have all heard of the 35W bridge collapse. Being from Minnesota I have driven across that bridge many times. Bridges have never bothered me in the past. I have a feeling driving across bridges is going to bother me a little more. Here are the best pictures I have found from the accident. -
New House
So we are all moved into the new house and unpacked enough to relax a little. Who knew we had so much crap? We have boxes everywhere. It will be a couple of weeks before our cars will fit into the garage. I am liking the new house. It is nice to have more room, a garage, and a deck out back. Once it is cool enough outside, I can chill out on the Internets on my deck in the backyard. Now I am off to unpack some more boxes.

Goodbye
Goodbye old home. You were good to us for the past six years.

Three More Days
Sorry for neglecting my blog. Things are just hectic around here. I worked 52 hours this week plus trying to get everything packed up this week. In three days we will be in our new house. I can’t believe it’s almost here. I am excited to move, but yesterday I got an email from my Mom, and my Uncle in Florida isn’t doing so well. He has been in the hospital for three weeks now. He has a bunch of blood clots and his leg is swollen up pretty badly. I don’t know exactly what is wrong with him. I just know he isn’t doing so well. Knowing he isn’t doing well takes a little of the excitement out of our big move. Hopefully he will be well enough by September to take his vacation to Minnesota like they had planned.
Now I am off in search of some more boxes. I see a lot more packing in my future.

Relient K
Ok, so it’s just slow acoustic stuff, but you gotta love Weezer covers.

More Moving Talk
The last two weeks have just been crazy. Right now the house is a complete mess. Half packed half not. We bought our new entertainment center and TV for out new family room and we have that laying around too. I have talked more on the phone the last two weeks than I think I have in my whole life. Everything is going pretty smooth. Today we found out that we make to much money for the load we got. Now our interest rate is going up a bit. Not much though. Our payments are only going to be $14 more a month. On our original loan we were getting $3800 from the state of ND to help out on the down-payment. We are no longer getting that. It’s not that big of deal I guess. Our saving will just be drained a little more than we had originally planned. I am not complaining because I would rather pay more than make less money.
One week from today we will be loading up the Uhaul. Is it ever going to get here? I swear every minute feels like an hour.

Moving Nerves
I have been a nervous wreck about this whole moving thing all week. I can’t believe it is actually happening. I keep thinking something is going to happen and the deal is going to fall through. This will be a busy packing weekend. I so can’t wait until the 26th when all our shit is in our new house. I knew these four weeks would take forever.

New Roommate
I don’t know if I mentioned it on here or not, but this weekend my Brother-in-Law moved in with us. He just recently graduated from high school and is going to the tech college here. He will be here for two year. It’s kinda crowed here now, but in two weeks we will be in our new house and it will be much better.
He did something that was good, but I am not sure if I would have been able to do it. He left his girlfriend back at home. I met her last weekend and she is a nice girl and super cute. I am sure they are going to miss each other. They are still together, and are going to try the long distance thing. I was pretty much in the same spot he was and that was the main reason that I stayed in my hometown to go to college. If it was meant to be I guess the long distance thing will work. My wife and I did it when I got my job and she still had one more year left of college.
My blog will probably be a little quiet the next few weeks. We are going to start packing this week. We have just over two weeks until moving day.
Now I am off to take my Brother-in-Law out to find a job.

Pownce
I have been playing around with Pownce for the last couple of days. If you haven’t heard of Pownce, it’s a new Twitter like site created by Kevin Rose, Leah Culver, and Daniel Burka. It’s pretty much twitter, but with a lot more added functions. You are not limited to 140 characters, and you can send files also. It has many other cool features too. I still prefer Twitter for it’s simplicity, but really like Pownce too. Pownce is currently invite only though. I have a few invites left to give out. Let me know if you want one, but I am heading out of town for the weekend, so I might not get back to you until Sunday.
