Smokers Stink
Over the weekend we were out of town, but my in-laws stayed at our house. My father-in-law must have driven my truck. Normally I wouldn’t have cared, but he smoked in it. Smoking is so disgusting. I am around it so little now that it really bothers me. I can smell it on my hands now after using my steering wheel. So gross.
I don’t get why someone would pay thousands of dollars a year to smell, not to mention the health affects. I know smokers don’t realize that they smell, but they do. If you smoke, you fucking stink and I don’t want to be around you. And please don’t just throw you cigarette butt anywhere. Seeing nasty cigarette butt everywhere is another pet peeve of mine.

Winter friends
This morning at work at around 4:00 AM I was outside looking for meteors and I noticed some of my old winter friends. Pleiades and Taurus were up, and Gemini and Orion were just peeking up over the horizon. Jupiter and Mars were also in the area. It’s a sign that winter is on it’s way. It’s already noticeably getting darker earlier. People around here hate that, but as an amateur astronomer, It’s nice when it gets dark before 10:00.
I think I’m going to get my telescope out early in the morning this week. It gives me a chance to see some of my winter friends before it gets too damn cold to be outside. It’s also been a while since I’ve seen Jupiter and even longer for Mars.

Blogcation
So I was planning on taking the month of August off from my blog. I just wasn’t feeling it much. I was even debating quitting it. I mean who blogs anymore? My feed reader use to be 80% bloggers, now it’s like 2%. But I can’t quit. WordPress 3.6 came out, and I started to play around with it. I decided it was time to clean up my blog. I’m back to a default WordPress theme, and am cleaning up my plugins. I’m just getting back to the basics, so pardon the dust. *insert early 90s animated gif here
