Back From Denver
We got back from Denver Monday, but today has been my first chance to get any computer time. We had a great time in Denver, but the weather could have been better.
Friday right after we got there we toured Invesco Field. It was pretty cool to see parts of the stadium that most people don’t see. We were able to see the party suites, press boxes, visitors locker room, and many other areas. It would have been cooler to see some of the private suites, and Broncos locker room, but those areas were off limits for tours.
Saturday was my Sister’s Graduation. It was your normal standard graduation. Nothing too exciting. After graduation we hung out in a local park. That evening we went to the Denver Aquarium. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was a pretty cool Aquarium.
Sunday we went to Pikes Peak. Nine years ago we went to Pikes Peak in October and it was amazing. This time it wasn’t so great. It was cloudy, so we couldn’t see much. We were in clouds and only had a few breaks in the clouds where we could see. There was also a lot more snow up there this time of year. After Pikes Peak we drove around the Garden of the Gods. We could have gotten some cool pictures, but it was raining. Oh well, I am sure we will be back sometime.
Monday we flew back and it was raining in Fargo. They said it was a good weekend here, but we missed it. The rain followed us around.
I can’t wait to go back to Denver. We really like the area. If there was another city we could live in it would probably be Denver. Well, maybe not Denver, but a smaller city near by. Sometimes I wish I could just pick up and move, but I really like where we are now also.

Sister-in-law Annoyances
My Sister-in-law drives me nuts. In a month the Wife and I and my Brother and his Wife are heading out to Denver. Our Half-Sister is graduating college, so we thought we would head out there and make a long weekend vacation out of it. Last time we were in Denver nine years ago we took a day and went down to Colorado Springs to see Pikes Peak. We took the Cog Railroad up it the top. It was am amazing view from the top, and a nice relaxing train ride up to the top.
We thought it would be cool to do it again, plus my Brother wants to go too.
Well, his wife is pregnant and is all worried that the higher elevation is going to be bad for the kid. WTF? I understand being careful, and not wanting to do anything that will harm the kid, but I really doubt spending two hours in a higher elevation than you are use to is going to do anything. It’s not like she is ready to pop either. I think she will be three months along when we are in Denver.
But whatever.
She is also super religious, doesn’t trust doctors, refuses to take any kind of medications, but takes tons of “natural” herbal supplement crap. I wouldn’t be surprised is she is one of those nut-jobs that doesn’t believe in vaccinations.
She is a nice person, don’t get me wrong, I get along with her just fine. She just has total opposite believes than I do. It’s a little annoying spending time with her. She has some quirks that I am not use to. She wont ride in elevators, has to sit in the front seat of cars, and always has to sit on the end if in a row of seats.
But whatever.
It should still be a fun vacation in a month.

Vacation is Hard Work
We got back from our little vacation last night. Why does it seem that no matter how relaxing vacation is, you are always whipped when you get home? We didn’t do a whole lot on vacation. We stayed in some pretty awesome cabins, Three bedrooms, full kitchen, and hot tub. Saturday we spent the day on the lake in a pontoon. I was the only one lucky enough to avoid the sunburn. Sunscreen is my best friend. I am glad I have today and tomorrow off to recover from vacation, and catch up with everything. Too bad it’s raining out today. I have a lot of yard work to get done. Oh well, guess I will check out some of the Olympics instead.

Vacation TIme
In about two hours we are heading out of town. My Mom rented a cabin on a lake, and the wife and I, and my Brother and his wife will be there all weekend. There will be no Internet for me until Sunday night. It might actually be kinda nice, but I am dreading how much catchup I will have on Sunday night, but it shouldn’t be too bad.
So long until Sunday Night.
