The One Where I Cry at the End
For some reason I have been having dreams about my Grandma lately. It’s been weird. I haven’t really thought about here for years, but now I am really starting to miss her. She died in 1987. I can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years. I remember the funeral like it was yesterday. So for today’s picture, I took one of my Dad’s old teddy bear. That bear means a lot to me. Sure it’s all beat up and looks like hell, but it’s the only thing I got from my Grandma. She use to always tell me stories about that bear and my Dad. About how he ripped the bears mouth so he could eat roast beef. Man, this is the first time that a blog post has turned me into tears.
My Grandpa died earlier this year. I never really got to know him very well. Most of my cousins knew him better than I did. He was a big hunter and my cousins would go hunting with him every year. I am not a hunter, so I never had the chance to really get to know my Grandpa. He was a great guy. very generous. I just wish I would have known him better.
I only have one Grandparent left. She is in good health, but she is kinda loosing her mind. She doesn’t remember much of anything. The sad thing is that I don’t see her all that much anymore. Life seems to get in the way to much. It’s going to be hard when she dies too.

Updated Tinkring
So I have been playing around with my blog lately. You have always been able to see what I have been up to on Digg and Del.icio.us over there—>. Now if you look over there—-> I have a link to my link blog. Whenever I find something cool I will probably add it there. Today I found a Photoshop tutorial on making some Warhol art. So today I tried my hand at it with my Picture A Day. Not the greatest. My photoshop skills are a little lacking, but I am learning. Almost everything over there—-> has an RSS feed. All the more easier for you to stalk me.

Gin Blossoms
We just got back from the Gin Blossoms concert so yesterday’s Picture A Day was of their lead singer Robin Wilson. It was a pretty good concert. We got right up from against the railing. During a few of the songs he was taking people’s cell phone and singing to whoever was on the other line. First time I have ever seen that at a concert. I was so close at getting a pick a couple of times. I have never gotten a pick from a concert, and I still haven’t. The Venue is a pretty cool place. I can’t wait to see Reel Big Fish there in a couple of weeks.

Hack Your E815
So since I started this Picture A Day thing I have been using my cell phone camera a lot more. It’s been a pain in the ass pulling the memory card out every time I want to get pictures off it. So it was finally time to hack it. Verizon loved to advertise that my phone had bluetooth, yet they disable most of the bluetooth options anyway. I found this great site. If you have the Motorola E815 or V710 this site has all you need to hack it. So far I have gotten bluetooth enable so I can transfer files to and from the phone via my laptop. I also got the option to transfer files to and from the memory card. The default could only transfer pictures. Now it is simple to add a new ringtone. And one minor hack I did was to add my voice mail to the number 1 autodial number. My phone feels so much more usefull now. I think it’s time to see what else I can do with it.

Make Your Own Ringtones
I have never liked the idea of buying ringtones. I have never bought a ringtone. I don’t see the point in buying a song I already have. Plus a lot of the times I can’t find the ringtone I want. I have always made my own. It’s not hard to do, but then it’s not all that easy. You have to figure out the exact format then need to be in to work on the phone. Once you know that it’s a piece of cake to edit ringtones with Audacity. Well, I just found a site that might make that process a little easier. Buildatone is an online program the supposedly does the job for you. I am testing it out right now. I will report back on how well it works.
**Update**
Ok, the site seems slow as shit and keeps going down. It must be getting to much traffic. I will have to try again later. I hope the site stays around.

Retro Gaming
I have been wasting today away play some old video games. I have my emulator system almost all set up. It’s just an old crappy 400 MHz eMachine, but it runs my emulators awesomely. I finally found the perfect frontend for my emulators. Maximus Arcade works perfect. It runs great on slow computers, and you can totally control it without a mouse or keyboard. I now can sit back with my gamepad and play any old 2600, NES, SNES, SMS, Genesis, or classic arcade game. I am in retro heaven. Now it’s time for another game of Adventure.

Picture A Day
So a lot of people are doing the 365 Day Self-Portrait Project. I am going to start something similar, but different. I am going to snap picture everyday for a year, but they aren’t all going to be of me. They are just going to be of random stuff. Some might be good pictures taken with my camera, others might just snapped with my phone, and on busy days it might just be a picture of the wall. Some might be photoshopped, but most probably wont. I will update them when I can. The pictures wont be updated every day, but there will be a different pictures taken everyday, and they will be updated when time permits. I warn you, I am not the best photographer, but hopefully this project will improve that. I actually started the project on Friday the 13th. You can check out the pictures over there—> in the sidebar.
