Make Your Own Ringtones
I have never liked the idea of buying ringtones. I have never bought a ringtone. I don’t see the point in buying a song I already have. Plus a lot of the times I can’t find the ringtone I want. I have always made my own. It’s not hard to do, but then it’s not all that easy. You have to figure out the exact format then need to be in to work on the phone. Once you know that it’s a piece of cake to edit ringtones with Audacity. Well, I just found a site that might make that process a little easier. Buildatone is an online program the supposedly does the job for you. I am testing it out right now. I will report back on how well it works.
**Update**
Ok, the site seems slow as shit and keeps going down. It must be getting to much traffic. I will have to try again later. I hope the site stays around.

Retro Gaming
I have been wasting today away play some old video games. I have my emulator system almost all set up. It’s just an old crappy 400 MHz eMachine, but it runs my emulators awesomely. I finally found the perfect frontend for my emulators. Maximus Arcade works perfect. It runs great on slow computers, and you can totally control it without a mouse or keyboard. I now can sit back with my gamepad and play any old 2600, NES, SNES, SMS, Genesis, or classic arcade game. I am in retro heaven. Now it’s time for another game of Adventure.

Picture A Day
So a lot of people are doing the 365 Day Self-Portrait Project. I am going to start something similar, but different. I am going to snap picture everyday for a year, but they aren’t all going to be of me. They are just going to be of random stuff. Some might be good pictures taken with my camera, others might just snapped with my phone, and on busy days it might just be a picture of the wall. Some might be photoshopped, but most probably wont. I will update them when I can. The pictures wont be updated every day, but there will be a different pictures taken everyday, and they will be updated when time permits. I warn you, I am not the best photographer, but hopefully this project will improve that. I actually started the project on Friday the 13th. You can check out the pictures over there—> in the sidebar.

Google Reader
I am always looking for better online RSS readers. I need an online one because I am always reading me feeds on different computers. I was on Bloglines, then I went to Newsgator Online, and now I am back on Bloglines. I played around with Google’s Reader when it first came out and it was bad. They have done some updates now and it is pretty good. I think I am going to be switching over to Google Reader. I like the way you can star items that you want to come back to and I like the sharing feature better. I think I might put up a link blog of all the cool stuff I find. Google Reader will make that easier. Sure Bloglines has that same function, but I like the way Google does it better.

Proof
So I subscribe to a Flickr feed for Fargo. That way I can see all the pictures that people tag with Fargo. This one came is yesterday. Yep, that’s snow. I thing I will be digging my shovel out of the shed today. Just what I wanted to do on my only day off this week.

Winter’s Here
I have been working quite a bit these past two weeks. I am so far behind on all my Internet stuff. I have tomorrow off. Hopefully I will be able to catch up then. Today I worked 17 hours. Went in this morning. It was a little chilly, but just sweatshirt weather. I think it was in the 30s or something. I didn’t see the outside all day. I was a little shocked to see my car covered with snow and the temp at 23º. 23º isn’t really cold, but it sure feel cold when you aren’t use to it and you don’t have your jacket with. I guess winter is here.

Concerts
It’s been a slow concert year for me. I don’t think I have been to any this summer. Last summer I went to five I think. I just heard about Reel Big Fish coming to Fargo. Yes, a good concert is actually coming to Fargo. Gin Blossoms are also coming to Fargo. I really liked them back in the 90s and thing I will probably go see them too. Both of them are playing at Playmakers in Fargo. I never liked concerts at Playmakers, but they have done a lot of renovating of the place, and it is actually called The Venue now. I hear lot of good things about the place and am looking forward to checking it out. It is so nice when bands I like come to Fargo. A four minute drive is so much better than a four hour drive. We do have tickets to a concert in the cities this December. That will be a long drive. I just hope the weather is nice then. I don’t want to miss the best band in the world.

TGIF
Man it was a crazy week. I just got done working 4 12 hour days. It feels like all I did this week was eat and sleep.
